We can supply custom aluminum
adapter plates and spacers for almost all vehicles makes and models. Our
standard shipping time is less than 10 days. For other less common models
please allow two to three weeks after we get a matching transmission for
manufacture and delivery. The adapter plates and spacers are machined from
5/8" or 3/4" 6061 aluminum and include an appropriate sized spacer
ring. Other thicknesses and steel ($80 additional) are also available.
With our precise digital CNC
equipment, we have created a library of the more commonly used adapter plates
and we can produce them within a few days of the order. However, whenever there
is a new model vehicle for which we have never made an adapter plate, we have
two choices. One is to secure an identical transmission from a local
transmission shop or junk yard and then take a precise digital picture of the
transmission hub. In the event that we cannot locate an identical transmission
locally it will require you to send us your transmission, flywheel and one bolt
from the flywheel. In this case, after taking the digital measurements, we will
pay the return freight on the transmission, flywheel, and bolt.
All
adapters retain the use of the original clutch and will fit most ADC, WARP,
KOSTOV and HPEVS Motors.
Please try not to throw away your
old gasoline internal combustion engine !
In the event that we have never made
an adapter plate and hub for your vehicle model, we will need you to take a
measurement on your engine. This measurement is called "The Magic
Number". A brief explanation on how to find the Magic Number is in the
text below* and the pictures above.
*How to
measure the magic number:
Measure the distance between the flat part of the hub (where
the flywheel bolts to) and where the engine touches the transmission with a
steel ruler and a pair of calipers. The measurement should be within
.005".
