Bestgo Lithium Battery Packs Pouch Cell Overview

Bestgo can offer 3 kinds of battery modules for customers to choose from, see below:

The Plastic Block Module

The plastic block modules have a light weight and small size, cells are well held and protected in an anti-frame plastic frame block with necessary foams for vibration absorption. On the top of the block here is a plastic unit with two metal sheets built in. Cell tabs will go through them and lay down for the laser welding to firmly attach to the metal sheets for parallel configuration; here are screw holes on metal sheets for busbar connections among modules. Every module has an independent plastic lid for isolation. After blocks are assembled with busbars and wires, the plastic lid can be installed for isolation and protection but will not disturb the busbar connections and wires.

The Aluminum Block Module

The aluminum block modules have more cells held in the case with different arrangements for series and parallel configurations, like 3S4P, 4S3P, 2S6P, 3S5P, 5S5P etc. We do laser welding for cell tabs, use busbars for further connection among modules. The aluminum case can hold many more cells in quantity and resist outside force damage, aluminum has a light weight and is helpful for heat passing. It acts similar to plastic block modules but can deal with many more cells, so good for big battery packs which need many more cells.

Below are some examples. For example, if a module of BA16110 series contains 12 of LiFePO4 3.2V30Ah cells arranged as 3S4P configuration, the model type will be BA16110-F-3S04.

The Cassette Sheet Module (only for 48Ah cells)

The cassette sheet modules hold the cells in place with aluminum sheets like a sandwich. These aluminum sheets can help cells improve heat transfer and enhance the strength of the structure. On both ends of the module there are plastic units and a metal sheet which is used for laser welding. Both parallel and series connections can be done directly on the metal sheets. Bestgo can also separate the entire structure into several parts then use the busbars for connection.  This cassette structure is easy to extend in the length direction. Bestgo’s cassette sheet module structure has a low height (about 100mm) and can be extended. They are best suited for building battery packs in a “skate structure” often used in the low-profile chassis of electric vehicles.
