The Thermistor Expansion Module is used when monitoring additional battery pack temperatures is necessary. Each expansion module can measure up to 80 temperatures and is compatible with both the Orion BMS and the Orion Jr. BMS. When used with an Orion BMS unit, up to 10 modules can be connected together to monitor a total of 800 temperatures. For the Orion Jr. BMS, one Thermistor Expansion Module can be used to monitor up to 80 temperatures.
Specifications:
· Operates with the Orion BMS or Orion Jr. BMS.
· Can be used as a stand-alone temperature monitoring device.
· Full automotive operating and sensing temperature range (-40F to 176F / -40C to 80C).
· High noise immunity.
· Communicates data via CANBUS or via analog outputs.
· Several CANBUS baud rates supported (125 Kbps, 250 Kbps, 500 Kbps, 1000 Kbps).
· Can be configured to measure between 1 and 80 thermistors.
· Supports many different 10K thermistors (100K thermistor support available as special order).
· Requires a CANdapter for initial programming and data logging.
· Supply Voltage: 10-16 VDC
· Supply Current (at 12V DC): 35-60mA
· Optional Thermistor Expansion Module 6 ft. Wiring Harness for up to 20 thermistors ($23 each)
