The maximum operating voltage of the TransWarP 9 is 170V to the armature. If the motor sees voltage higher than 170V for any period of time, it will arc incrementally worse as the voltage increases. The user can split the voltage of a 350V pack between two NetGain motors wired together in series. This will allow the maximum 170V to each motor, and they will both see the full amperage supplied by the controller.
Amps are the larger source of heat buildup. High voltage will cause poor commutation (arcing) where high current will cause more heat buildup within the motor. So additional cooling will not offset any higher voltage, but it will allow for higher current over longer periods of time. Current ratings for the TransWarP 9 (with no external cooling) are shown below:
2000 Amps for short periods (seconds) of time...
500 Amps for 5 minutes
250 Amps for 1 hour
200 Amps continuous

Here is the general rule for motor to vehicle weight: (Please note that terrain, coefficient of drag, frontal area, tire diameter, rolling resistance, gearing, etc. also affect these #'s, and they are NOT cast in stone - your results may vary...)
